Spring Break Day 4
We met up with some friends at Monkey Joes today. We had so much fun! Amanda helped him push around his stroller...
Then Luke and Banks got there just in time for lunch...
Spring Break Day 3
Today we went to have Brayden's 1 year photos taken. He doesn't turn 1 until next week, but this was the best time for us all to go...so we took advantage. They turned out GREAT!

Spring Break Day 2!
Today was "chore" day! Although it is Spring "Break", we have a to do list a mile long! So...
Brayden spent the morning with daddy while mommy went and got her toes made pretty and a hair cut! Then after nap time, we went to Party City to pick up some birthday party things (this makes me VERY excited!).
Brayden hung out at the storm door a good bit while daddy attempted to wash the pollen off our cars and mow the grass.
Then daddy baby proofed the house! YEAH!! This has been long overdue and it started to be a safety issue for our little one. He understands no-but doesn't always listen at this point, so we wanted to make sure he is kept safe!
Brayden desperately wanted to help daddy out!

Can you see the importance of getting the house baby proofed?? Notice anything unusual about this picture????
WELL!-There is NOT supposed to be a towel IN the tub with Brayden. I was changing out the toilet paper on the roll when I turned around to find this....
And I was in the SAME room...never left...how did I miss that!?! My crazy sweet boy is getting to be a handful!
Spring Break Day 1!
After the "OK" from Dr. W Monday morning...we headed to shop in NC for the day! We had the most fun in the Bass Pro Shop-who would have though it!?!

Feeling down
We had one of the scariest experiences this week since Brayden has been born. For those of you mom's who have not had a child with the croup, consider yourself blessed! Brayden has been fighting a horrible virus since last Wednesday. I was concerned on Easter when he started wheezing and still had a high fever. Sunday night was a nightmare to say the least.
I went running into his room several times to the sound of what seemed to be him gasping for breath. We ran the steam in the bathroom just like you see in old movies, tried a breathing treatment, and listened to this horrible sound/cough all night long. So...first thing Monday morning we headed to see Dr. W.
He assured me my tears were worth it and convinced me my baby boy was going to be okay. After an antibiotic and steroid prescription were written, we were on our way. He even gave us the "OK" to head to NC for a day of shopping-said getting out would do him (and his stressed out mommy) some good. I love how our pediatrician never makes me feel crazy for bringing him in!
Dr. W did, however, give us one scary warning. He expected that night to be worse than the one we had. He said if he had another croup attack we were to immediately strap him in the car seat, roll down all 4 windows, and drive like mad to the hospital. HOSPITAL-says mommy! He assured me that the air should calm the attack and most likely I would end up turning back around before reaching the hospital, but just in case-to head that way. Seriously...
We have been so blessed though. Within hours of his first steroid treatment and antibiotic, he was acting better. We did not have a night of terror like Dr. W thought we may have. And he continues to get better and better as each hour passes. Today, he was our smiley baby boy and we are looking forward to the rest of our HEALTHY Spring Break!
Happy Easter from The Bridges Family :)
Brayden waking up Easter morning!
Checking out his Easter basket...his new balance shoes were inside!
Trying to get a picture of us both looking at the camera and smiling!
Our Newest Addition...
Brayden spent the morning laying around...waiting for our newest house addition!

Shortly after lunch it arrived!! Our new storm door was put in! Brayden LOVED it (I thought he might!) As soon as the installation man cleaned up his mess, Brayden was making another all over the new glass (with Cali, his partner in crime!). They stayed there playing and looking outside forever!!

3 hours later...Still there...

So hard to say goodbye...
Yesterday all the Tinder ladies gathered.

And while Brayden brings happiness wherever he goes...we were NOT there for a joyous occasion. We were saying goodbye. Goodbye to our precious Sassy. This morning she had to be put down. Our hearts are breaking and she will be forever missed. Sassy was 17 and her mind finaly failed her. I think the hardest part for us is we started to see her as "untouchable". Most dogs don't live that long and we got in the mindset that she would live forever.
